If you need intensive English Language courses before you begin your university studies, you can register in one of our non-credit programs:
Successful completion of the advanced (400) level of the EFAS program satisfies the University of Waterloo's English Language Requirement for undergraduate students. In order to successfully complete the 400 level, students must have an overall average of 85% in coursework, with at least an 80% in each core subject and at least 80% on the final exit test. Students must also attend at least 80% of their classes.
Students accepted into the University of Waterloo Science Faculty's 2 + 2 program take a special six-week intensive EFAS program in July and August before they begin their UW courses in September.
If you are a registered University of Waterloo or Wilfrid Laurier University student, and English is not your first language, you may want to take a credit course in English (ESL).
