Applied Language Studies (APPLS) is an interdisciplinary area of study for those interested in

learning second or foreign languages
pursuing teacher’s college
teaching abroad
studying Applied Linguistics at a graduate level

Applied Language Studies is administered by Renison’s English Language Institute in cooperation with the following participating UW Departments and Disciplines:

There are two different academic plans open to students participating in Applied Language Studies:

1) the Option for current UW students and

2) the Diploma for non- or post-degree students.
